The Center’s resource listing provides links below to a number of websites that they believe provide quality, readily accessible information and tools to support organizational capacity building efforts and that enhance organizational effectiveness. The Centre’s focus is on serving not-for-profits based throughout British Columbia.

The Citizen’s Handbook
http://www.vcn.bc.ca/citizens-handbook/
A great quick guide to building community and community organizing. The Vancouver information is separated out but it is useful to people living in other places.

Mind Tools
http://www.mindtools.com
Several MindTools resources are among the Centre for Innovative and Entrepreneurial Leadership's (CIEL) 69 Tools, Techniques & Resources for Communities but the whole site is well worth a look. Mind Tools' mission is "to help people around the world learn the practical skills needed to excel in their careers". They offer "practical, proven skills and techniques that, used together, show themselves in high personal effectiveness, good leadership, career success and even happiness. We call these skills and techniques 'mind tools' - because that's what they are."

Community Tool Box
http://ctb.ku.edu/
Again, several of their items are part of CIEL's 69 Tools, Techniques & Resources for Communities. The Community Tool Box’s goal is "to support your work in promoting community health and development. The Tool Box provides over 7,000 pages of practical skill-building information on over 250 different topics. Topic sections include step-by-step instruction, examples, check-lists, and related resources."
