Ahmad has many years of experience in Information Technology, Software Development, and Project Management. He currently assumes a position of Project & Application Lead at a national telecommunications company, working on large and complex projects to support clients in multiple industries including telecommunications, banking, transportation and integrated services. He graduated from the faculty of Applied Sciences at SFU where he earned his Bachelor degree. Ahmad also brings several years of experience in customer service. His interests include traveling, sports, and reading.

Frank Kusmer ,
Member-at-Large [top]
Frank brings extensive business experience in organization culture change, leadership coaching, quality improvement, change management and strategy design to the board, and is currently starting a company partnering with organizations to build an "organizationally healthy" culture. He has steered many large projects involving extensive change and re-engineering. He has a business degree from Simon Fraser University and previously worked in financial planning.
He is also on the board of the non-profit Working Gear and has previously volunteered with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Union Gospel Mission and Unicef. He believes in the importance taking deliberate steps to make a difference in society as expressed in Margaret Mead's quote, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”

Peter Noble ,

Peter is currently a Senior Recruitment Consultant for the accounting and finance industry at Inteqna. With nine years experience in the field of human resources and recruitment in New Zealand and Vancouver, he brings an in-depth experience of working with people from many cultures around the world. Peter knows what it takes for good teams and organizations to work well together. This understanding has been developed through his many onsite relationships with employer organizations of all sizes and industry types. He's had hands on experience running a peer support group focusing on young men’s issues, and volunteering over a number of years with an organization that supports young adults with physical disabilities.

Veronica Rossos,

Veronica is currently an Associate at MacLeod & Company, Barristers and Solicitors, where she
practices civil litigation with a focus on Commercial Litigation and Professional Negligence
Defense. A recent transfer from Toronto, Veronica has applied her avid interest in social
justice and advocacy by volunteering with Pivot Legal Society. Her past volunteer experience
includes working with a food co-operative, Windsor’s Community Legal Aid, and the Windsor
Review of Legal and Social Issues. She firmly believes in applying her legal knowledge to
advocating for issues of social justice for individuals and communities.

Kathleen Smith,

Kathleen recently moved on from her position as Assistant Director
of Programming at the Pacific Business & Law Institute to act as an
advocate with the BC Human Rights Coalition. A graduate of Dalhousie
University Law School, she worked for a number of years in Central
Asia on international development projects including a three-year
legal reform project with the American Bar Association. She has also
managed a national conservation program in Canada that emphasized
community stewardship, education and volunteerism. Since moving to
Vancouver 1.5 years ago she has also been a volunteer at Access Justice.
Kathleen speaks Russian, loves to travel, and enjoys the amazing outdoor
activities that BC has to offer.
