Anne Frank Memory Walk Project: February 2015 – June 2015

We are pleased to be doing a second round of recruitment for the Anne Frank Memory Walk Project for youth! Our next trainings, March 7th & March 8th, will now have American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation!

Ever wonder how Vancouver neighbourhoods got to be the way they are today? Who names our streets? Who created our monuments? What history is in your backyard?

Become a participant in our program and you’ll find out! All youth 24 and under of various backgrounds (including but not limited to: cultural heritage, abilities, gender, age, sexual orientation, faith, and income levels) are encouraged to apply.

Anne Frank Travelling Exhibition: February, March, May & June 2015

* Note: commitment is not expected for all four months; participants will rotate shifts & locations.

Participants must be willing to:
• Have a flexible schedule
• Participate in training to learn about Anne Frank’s stories and co-guide tours of the exhibition with a youth (age 15 – 24) and/or another senior
• Work with and support youth and/or other seniors with engaging guests; help with sharing information and asking questions
• Open up discussions about discrimination and diversity with guests
• Be responsible for the guestbook and encourage guests to sign it
• Travel to other Neighbourhood Houses when the exhibition moves
• Outreach to community members to visit the exhibition
